Tea ceremony in Valencia

A tea ceremony is a pause you share with other people. The tea is brewed slowly, cup after cup, and the rhythm of pouring sets the rhythm of the whole evening. Phones go away, conversations become quieter and more honest.

There is nothing to learn beforehand. You sit, you drink, you listen. Moments of silence are part of the ceremony, and so is conversation when it comes naturally. For many guests it is the first time in weeks they spend an hour without rushing.

At our ceremonies the tea is often accompanied by live music: handpan, flutes or voice, played softly in the background so it supports the atmosphere instead of filling it.
