Barchimes is a musical instrument and an interior art object at the same time.
The solid ash wood body with a natural oil-wax finish looks complete and blends harmoniously into an apartment, home, studio, or meditation space. The instrument is beautiful even when not in use.
72 aluminum tubes create a pure, high, spacious sound with a long sustain. The instrument responds to a light touch, requires no special skills, and produces a soft, controllable volume, making it suitable for any time of day.
The tubes are freely suspended on Kevlar thread, allowing each tube to resonate fully without losing vibration or producing harsh attacks.
